The CANAM
is an absolute High-Tech vehicle, developed for the racetrack, built by TECHNOCARS
with some of the finest components of race-technology available. Racing
experience and wind channel improved aerodynamic efficiency lead to this
smashing design. With a top speed of over 200 miles per hour (using TECHNOCARS
high performance sports engine option and spoilers) this car is more than a match to all but a handful of competitors in the high end section of
super cars .
Taking its inspiration from the
awesome mid-engined racers that competed in the American Can-Am series
during the Sixties and Seventies, the CANAM
represents a modern
interpretation of these amazing machines. However, substantially
increased levels of interior comfort and finish make our car available for
not only the race track, but also the road.
The heart of every new TECHNOCARS
CANAM
is a race-proven space frame chassis which, allied to purpose-built
independent suspension and bespoke parts throughout, offers a level of
handling and road-holding way beyond any conventional road car.
On the
road, acceleration, overtaking, cornering and braking are all equally
confidence inspiring. Steering is light and responsive. Brakes are firm
and precise. Manual gear changes are precise and quick with an easy blip of the
throttle on change down.
Equipped with AUDI s modern and
lightweight aluminum V8 - 4.2 liter engine with 40 valves prepared by TECHNOCARS
with an innovative motormanagement system
to comply EURO 4 norm - this sensational design is a vibrating powerful yet reliant super car.

Chassis

Powdercoated spaceframe using mainly 38mm x 1.5mm dia tube MIG
welded. Defined crashzones to front and sides, optional rollcage according to the FIA
regulations .

328mm curved vane
vented disc brakes with 4 pot fully aluminum front calipers (
6 pot optional) and fully aluminum 4 pot calipers with integrated mechanical
handbrake in rear .

Adjustable brake bias
front to rear. All s/s belted TUV hoses and s/s brake lines

Alloy sports rack and
pinion 2.4 turns lock to lock.

TIG welded double
unequal length wishbones with nylon joints. Alloy uprights in
LM25. Fully adjustable coil spring dampers and allowing 50 - 140 mm ground clearance.

Laminated glass. Full
U.S.A. and European certified

Bodywork unstressed GRP laminate with Carbon - reinforced
zones, optional folding convertible hood in
germanies famous "sonnenland" quality material. Hardtop is
under development.
